cue the fat lady
it’s over. it’s all over. the atlanta braves’ reign of terror has finally ended. the mets made it official this weekend by sweeping the braves, something they don’t do very often. while this in no way cures the ills of the world at large, it’s still pretty cool. politics later. celebration now. 
congratulations mets…let’s keep it going, shall we?

Listening to ESPN radio yesterday and I heard the following:
“The Mets just look like champions. They look and act like they know they’re going to the World Series.”

I hope they are right this time. Sometimes ESPN analysts are brilliant. Sometimes they say good things about the Mets for no apparent reason. We shall see.

I don’t follow baseball, but I do know that my DH can’t stand the Atlanta Braves, so I’m sure he would agree with your opinion.
